Philosophical Christian

There is no disconnect between Philosophy and Christianity

About Us

About Me

The human race is characterized as harboring mental faculties, faculties that aid him in comprehending and forming complex concepts, tangible and intangible. His faculties play a vital role in his being; thus, they are to be sharp and constantly being sharpened. For if that is not, he becomes dull, ceases to exist; is nothing but a walking carcass. If the man limits these faculties, he strips from himself human nature. His thoughts and acts then resemble that of beasts. Christianity, thereby Christians, is seen as this carcass. They are said to be in a constant state of dullness, a state of "blind belief," where its adherents simply believe because they are told, a religion of mindless sheep. In such a mindset (blind belief) dogmas reign supreme, thereby a rise in heresies of many kinds. God created for man the mental faculties, and for the mental faculties he created man. Therefore, the Christian must sharpen them, this will render him to be a tool fit for service. Moreover, the Christian is commanded to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect" (1 Peter 3: 15), with gentleness he must speak with the spirit of love and light, he must answer in a manner that has not the slightest tinge of aggression. He must answer in a manner that exudes love. Though each word uttered may pierce the heart, yet they give hope, peace, security and strength. With respect he must fulfill the following: (1) Being sharp in the mind, with his faculties in the utmost shape and (2) He must truly have a basis, a rational reason for his beliefs. He must be confident on the rock that he has built his faith upon. Thus, our aim is to seek best to adhere to such command (found in 1 Peter 3:15). We also love philosophy–thus philosophizing as well, irrespective of religion. Philosophy deals with reality as we experience it, meaning there is more to life than religion. Reality is too vast for us to focus solely on religion. With the faculty of man, we think not of religious matters solely, for we ponder about life daily; its hardships and beauty, all in all, the mysteries life contains, its complexity and perplexities. Therefore we shall post contents in relation to philosophy and its many branches. With such sentiment, we invite ye all, Theist and Atheist, agnostic at heart, to join us—to philosophize. Let us then philosophize ensemble(together), For The Glory Of God.

Thoughts. Experiences. Inspiration.
